If you happened to have been signed up for Reverb11, then you probably got the email from Gwen Bell last night announcing that the official group was canceled. Considering this was supposed to start tomorrow, you can imagine how much this sucks. Fortunately, there are a lot of really cool people in the Reverb community, and there are already groups popping up and creating new lists on there own.

It would have been nice if she had let us know, oh, a month ago that she wasn’t going to be doing it this year so we could have unified as a community a bit better, but I am actually looking forward to the variety of prompts that will come from the multiple lists popping up. I might even put together a few myself, just to have around, in case.

In the meantime, if you would like to get signed up, now is your chance. Geekin’ Hard has put together a list, and is actively working to link to any of the others that pop up here. Please go and sign up for one or all of them.

Remember, post your responses on twitter using the #REVERB11 tag! Don’t forget to check out other bloggers responses. It is a great way to meet amazing people, find great blogs to read, and if that sort of thing matters to you, massively increase your traffic from just your mom to lots of people across the net.

I even made myself a little badge to go along with all the fun.

I’m not entirely sure why a bald monk needed to be orange in my head, but it made sense at the time.
