M. A. Brotherton, Freelance Adult?

Apparently there is a market for my poorly drawn doodles. I suppose that obligates me to sell them, right? So that means I’m going to. Over the course of the next couple of weeks I’m putting together my portfolio of doodles, including updates a few of my poorly drawn ms-paint pictures and getting them together to feature them here on

I’ve also started looking into doing a bit more freelance writing, not that I’ve done a lot in the past anyway. Hopefully, it will all pan out for the awesome in the long run.

A long time ago I decided on one very important rule that I will always follow as an artist:

Getting paid for your art is not the same as making art to get paid.

M.A. Brotherton is a writer, blogger, artist, and fat-kid from the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri. He’s tasted a little bit of everything the Midwest has to offer, ranging from meth-tweaking rednecks in massive underground cave complexes to those legendary amber waves of grain. When he’s not writing, he spends most of his time screwing around on the internet.

I, too, am glad you are doing this. There are a bunch of articles on getting paid for one’s art and I have been reading them lately as well. Congratulations; I am excited for your next step.
