2012 – 100 Drawing Challenge 088 – Pain

I think I’ve established the fact that the sun does not agree with me. After this weekend (in which I used plenty of sunscreen and didn’t get too terribly burned), I am re-enforced in my belief that it it in fact out to kill me.

The downside to having cut my hair nice and short, but not buzzed all the way off is very apparent to me today.

Short, thin hair does not block the sun, but it does block the sunscreen.

My scalp has never been sunburned before.

It’s a brand new experience for me.

Also, I got a tick bite in a naughty place and it itches like hell.

I know! I know! But my hair USED to be able to keep me from dying in a scalp fire.

There are shampoos and conditioners that aren’t all girly-fied that have spf. You can also use sunblock in your hair and suddenly, you’ve got styling goop! AND GET A HAT.

I have a hat.. I’m not dumb. I’m just also not used to my head getting solar flares directed at it by bahomet.
