Our Government is a Slave to Two Masters

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Its a lesson that we should all be pretty familiar with. It is not possible to serve the best interests of two opposing groups, and yet, that is exactly what the United States Federal Government does. For the most part, we could probably blame ourselves as voters, because we continue to allow a corrupt bipartisan system to control just about everything nationwide, but we do that because they have us convinced that they serve our interests. It is probably the greatest lie propagated throughout the history of the United States.

Elected Officials have one goal, one interest in mind: To Get Re-elected.

Now it seems pretty obvious that the best way to get re-elected would be to make those who vote for you as happy as possible. That would be the core value of the American Republic. The truth is, that in order to win an election you have to have a virtual mountain of money. Chances are, unless you have Bill Gates and Warren Buffet in your constituency, you aren’t going to be able to collect that kind of money from private citizen donations. Basically, unless you’re a billionaire, you’re not getting represented in our Government.

Unions Vs. Corporations

Democrat and Republican are really just labels for who funds your campaign. You see really, the heart of our bipartisan system is are you supported by the Labor Unions, or the Corporations? Either way, the answer is probably, “Criminal Organizations with more power than they should be allowed to have.”

Democrats are Union Controlled

The Democratic party wants you to think they have your best interest at heart because you are the average American worker. In order to achieve this goal, they sell their votes and integrity to the guys that already have you convinced that they serve your best interests. The Mafia… I mean Labor Unions. These organizations benefit from having control of the Government because it lets them strong arm their greedy corporate employers a little bit better.

Republicans are Corporate Controlled

The Republican party is controlled by big business. Who is Big Business? Well, that’s hard to figure out, because the primary reason they buy the votes of the Republican party (besides to keep the government from looking to closely at the illegal and horrible things they’ve been doing) is to keep you from finding out who they are. You see, these are the guys that own the guys that own the guys that own your job.

Both are bad for YOU

Labor Unions seem like they serve a really important function of keeping businesses from sucking the life and souls from their employees and leaving their hollow husks on the side of the road. They did a good job of that back in the 1930s, before labor laws, minimum wage and industry regulation. Now, they spend less time fighting for member’s rights and more time destroying the lives of non-members. Unions have lost all sight of their function in this country and have just ended up becoming another horrible drain on the system.

Corporate fat cats only have the bottom dollar of their company to answer to. I don’t begrudge them that, they do what serves themselves, and the people they work for, best. It is no different than what any of us do at a much, much lower level. We do what is best for us and those around us. However, that very rarely is what is best for the community as a whole. The higher up on the wealth food chain, and the less serving yourself serves the community. I don’t blame them for doing it, but I don’t want them in charge of my government.

Third Party Alternatives

There are a lot of third party groups out there that you should really be looking at these days. Chances are, if you are voting in an election that has a third party candidate in it, you should vote for that guy. Yeah, you’ve probably never really heard of him before, but that’s how you know his vote isn’t being paid for.

Also, you should never vote for the same person more than 2 terms in a row.  The longer someone has to serve in their office, the longer they have to soak up its taint and corruption. Two terms is plenty of time for any real candidate to make their impact and move on.

Most of the problems aren’t going to be solved without a huge overhaul of our entire system, but there are steps in the right direction. What do you do to let your candidates know they have to choose between you or their monetary masters?
