Building a Soundtrack to Life

Its Friday night, and its cold in Kansas City. I’ve been fighting a pretty nasty cold all week, so I’m allowing myself to fall into my nature as a hermit and stay inside my warm and cozy office. Relaxing at my desk with a tin of Altoids and listening to some awesome music, I was trying to decide what I would do with myself tonight. I started out doodling some doodles, but there is only so much doodling a doodler can doodle.

I call this doodle, "The Futility of Human Endeavor" a commission for @Yeti_Detective. The Shirt means "I love Praise"

So, after some time spent expressing the dark corners of my mind, the sad teddy bear in need of constant love and affection was probably the safest for human consumption, so I thought I would share that one with you. So, having taxed all of my skills with ink and paper, I decided I would just chill out and relax to some music.

Music is the spice of Life

I used to spend a lot of time making mix cds and playlists for different things. I’ve always had a pretty good grasp of what music fits well with a mood, and I think I’ve always had a pretty good taste in music in general. I try not to hold myself down to one genre of music too strongly, but I’m pretty tied to 90’s Alternative. What can I say, I’m a sucker for some Proto-Emo.

Tonight, I’ve decided to do something beyond the typical “Break Up Music” or “Party Mix 1432” concepts. I’ve decided I’m going to find the best songs I can to make a standard 14 song soundtrack Album for my life.

I warn you, I’ve been in a strange place lately musically.

Rather than list all of the songs, and leave you out there to hunt them down individual, here is a playlist on
